It is a cultural exchange project offered by the State of America. Valid for America only.

2)     How long do I have to apply?

You must apply by December 15 for all your transactions to be completed correctly.

3)      What will it benefit me if I apply early?

You will be more likely to get the job you want and you can easily complete your visa procedures.

4)      Can open education students participate?

According to the program conditions, only those who have formal education can apply.

5)      What does SEVIS mean?

It is a data bank called Student Exchange Visitor Information System, where the information of non-immigrant students and students participating in the cultural exchange program is kept.

6)      How many times can I participate?

You can participate as long as you meet the application requirements. This includes the year you graduate.

7)      How long does it take for my application process?

On average, your transactions are completed in 3 months.

8)      I am a foreign national, can I participate?

If you are an undergraduate or graduate student in a formal education institution in Turkey, you can participate.

9)      Does the money I receive cover my expenses?

Work and Travel Program offers you this opportunity. With 8 hours of work per day, you can earn an average of $4000 per month.

10) Can I be in the same place with my friends?

If you apply early, you can work with your friends at the same workplace.

11)   How long will my working time be?

Average 40 hours per week

12)   Can I change the duration of my participation in the program?

You can work as long as you specify on the DS-2019 Form. This period cannot be changed.

13)   How long can I be in the USA outside of my working time?

You have permission to stay in the United States for 30 days beyond your working time.

14)   What will the Work and Travel program contribute to me?

It is the most economical travel to America.

You will have the opportunity to improve your foreign language in a native English speaking country.

You will be able to get to know American culture, different cultures and daily life closely.

You will be able to establish an excellent experience and warm friendships.

15) Will I have Health Insurance?

You will be covered by health and accident insurance throughout the program.

16) Can I work in a second job?

The law offers you the opportunity to take a second job.

17)   Does the workplace meet the meals?

In general, your workplace can afford it, but in cases where it does not, you can eat at a more affordable price.

18)   Would Alaska be the right choice?

If making more money is among your priorities, we would definitely recommend Alaska. It is a place where male and female students can easily go and save money.

19) Can I log in and out while I am in America?

You can easily enter and exit the country during your stay in the USA.

20) Can I change my job?

As Salterim E.D, you can change it after you inform us and your employer.

21)  Do I have to pay taxes in America?

Yes, according to US law, you must pay your taxes while you work. However, after your return, as Salterim E.D, we help you recover your taxes.
